How is Scimus different from the periodic EES that we carry out ourselves?
Due to its intuitive and responsive nature, Scimus is primarily an instrument to establish and maintain valuable connections within your organization in real time: a virtual conversation between the management of your organization and the employees. Not once, but as often as desired. Unlike with an Employee Engagement Survey (EES), there is actual interaction and you can ask further questions in depth about a theme when the need arises.   
 

I understand the intuitive and responsive, but is there a combination possible with periodically repetitive questions? 
If a repetitive character is desired to ascertain trends, Scimus can facilitate you. In the app, you can even build your own library of standardized questions. We advise you to make limited use of it and to keep it as organic as possible.
 

Can I use Scimus in addition to the employee satisfaction survey that we conduct periodically? 
Of course you can, but when using Scimus you don't have to. With the help of Scimus, a periodic ESS can also be carried out with standard questions from your own library, so that comparison is possible. And as often as you want. Best of both worlds actually; and cheaper too...
 

We already use an app that can be used to report transgressive behaviour. How is Scimus different?
Scimus also has the ability to send a signal, completely safe for the sender. About transgressive behavior but also about other circumstances that need attention. What distinguishes it is that with Scimus the signal can be followed up almost immediately with a poll to obtain a more complete picture and to respond adequately. 
 

We operate internationally and our employees speak different languages; how does Scimus deal with that?
Scimus is multilingual and multicultural. A respondent sees questions in their own language and sends any answers in that language. The requesting party asks his questions in his own language and also receives answers in his own language. With the help of AI, Scimus acts as an interpreter. However, it is important to keep questions and answers simple and to avoid local idiom. 
 

An employee leaves us, how do we prevent him/her from receiving push notifications for a poll?
It is important that a departing employee removes his/her profile himself/herself. Scimus does not know who is who. However, it is possible to periodically have your employees refresh their password, thus eliminating those who are no longer employed. 
 

An organizational unit is split off, what does that mean for the Scimus setup?
Within the current license year, the accounts will be relocated to a separate database. At the end of the license year, it is up to the new entity whether the subscription to Scimus will be extended.  
 

Who owns the data that is collected?
From the nature of the app, that is Scimus. However, data is made available to the customer in an aggregated manner for analysis purposes. Data is subsequently destroyed.  
 

How many 'enquirer' rights can and may I grant?
This is determined by the management of the organization itself: you. However, we recommend that this number be limited to C-level and Works Council. In a layered organization, we suggest to appoint enquirers per entity. Some central coordination is desirable to prevent levels from getting in each other's way. 

How 'safe' is raising a red (or green) flag?
The set-up of Scimus is such that we do not have the data behind a profile that makes it possible to link to a natural person - unless someone shares such information specifically for that purpose. However, because the profile can be used to zoom in on personal and location characteristics, flag signals are forwarded to an independent confidential adviser before the signal is shared with the customer. 
 

Is Scimus GDPR proof?
Scimus does not process personal data and does not need it for the functioning of the app. The link between Scimus account and natural person exists exclusively on the device of the account holder and is outside the sphere of influence of Scimus. 
 

What are the chances that an requesting party can still find out who responded and to what effect? After all, that would reduce safety. 
Scimus is set up in such a way that a minimum number of respondents must be available for answers to a poll to ensure anonymity. An enquirer cannot deploy a poll if this subset is too small. 
 

What size does our organization need to be to be able to use Scimus safely and anonymously?
Scimus is especially suitable for medium-sized to large companies and institutions with a size from approximately 250 FTE. For smaller organizations, it depends a lot on the structure. If in doubt, inquire about the possibilities.  
 

We think it is important to be able to analyze the answers obtained more extensively; Is it possible to receive a periodic report?
The license obtained includes that the requesting party receives regular reports in an Excel format. The report also contains the original questions and answers in the language of the enquirer and respondent.
